Cavo is the island’s beach resort closest to the mainland. The sand and pebble beach slopes gently down, making it suitable for families with children. It is partly equipped with umbrellas and sunbeds and is bordered by a beautiful promenade embellished with palm trees and sculptures, where there are restaurants, clubs and pubs. The town offers all the main services and is connected by both ferry and hydrofoil. In summer there is also a minibus service that leaves from Ortano and connects all the main beaches in the area.
